The status bar provides the user with a brief statement on the status of their mapping session. It provides information on the currently selected mapping tool and brief notes regarding the use of certain navigational and query tools.
In the example below, the Zoom In tool is selected in the toolbar. Immediately below the toolbar the Status Bar gives a quick tip on using the Zoom In tool.
