The Find tool allows a user to search a selected layer for features by name. This operation provides a rapid means of identifying and locating features of specific interest on the map image. Note that not all layers appear in the drop-down list of layers -- some layers do not have named features and cannot be searched with the Find tool.
To find features in a selected layer:
Select the Find tool from the toolbar.
Within the "Find Feature by Name" dialog box enter a string to search for.
Select the layer to search against from the drop-down list.
Select the Submit Query button

The results of the Find operation are presented in the "Results of Find" dialog box.
The map image is also automatically zoomed to the extent of all the features found in the Find operation.
The user can then click on a radio button associated with a feature in "Results of Find" dialog box.
The map will zoom to the extent of the feature and highlight it.

If more than one feature is listed in the results dialog box, the user may select another entry by clicking its associated radio button.
The Find dialog box will remain open until it is closed by clicking the “x” in the upper right corner.
